The Doll Museum in Kansas City is affiliated with the United Federation of Doll Clubs. Some of the exhibits contain dolls dating back as far as the 1700s until the present day. The library features written works on collecting, preserving, costuming and classifying different dolls and teddy bears. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 2pm. Appointments can be arranged as well.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

The Toy and Miniature Museum

Cave Spring Interpretive Center

Once a site on the Santa Fe Trail, Cave Spring is now a place for learning about the stewardship of the natural environment and cultural history of the Kansas City area. The museum is housed in Corinthian Hall, a 50-room turn-of-the-century mansion located in Kansas City's historic Northeast neighborhood. With its marble floors, stained glass windows and interior detailing, Corinthian Hall is a graceful backdrop for the Museum's many exhibits. The permanent exhibits feature artifacts and audio/visual shows to interpret the history of the Kansas City metropolitan region from the time of the Osage Indians to the opening of the Hannibal Bridge in 1869.

American Jazz Museum

Center stage at the new Museums at 18th and Vine is the Jazz Museum, where music fills the air as the story of jazz and some of its greatest performers is told. Legendary jazz artifacts, such as a Charlie Parker saxophone, are part of the permanent exhibit. Major exhibits celebrate such jazz greats as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Charlie Parker. The Blue Room is a re-creation of a Kansas City style jazz club where visitors can listen to early rare performances and enjoy the Kansas City sound.

Arabia Steamboat Museum

The Arabia Steamboat was built in 1853, carrying cargo and passengers down the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Three years later it sank on voyage to Kansas City, filled with 222 tons of precious cargo. The boat was sucked into the mud at the bottom of the river and was not recovered until 1987 when an excavating team located it and was able to extract part of the ship and its shipment, displaying these findings at in the Arabia Steamboat Museum.

It explains through a range of displays about the evolution of aircrafts and flight and includes artifacts such as photographs, uniforms, log books and personal effects of pilots. The museum also boasts a collection of aircrafts for visitors to see. The exhibits are constantly growing and changing, as many of the items are donated.
