    Downtown Kansas City Fountains
As with most of Kansas City's neighborhoods, the downtown area has its fair share of fountains for visitors to see. There are four of these structures that are exemplary in this part of the city. One is the Barney Allis Plaza Fountain on 12th and Wyandotte. Another is the City Hall Fountains at 12th and Oak, which were shut down during WWII to conserve energy. The Muse of Missouri at 9th and Main is another impressive fountain, as well as the stainless steel Rain Thicket Fountain at 12th and Walnut, which is a unique and favored fountain of the city.
