The Friends of Chamber Music performs about 15 concerts throughout its season, which runs from late September to late April. Many of the performances are held at the Folly Theater or at various churches. This group focuses on classical music, such as Mozart.

The Kansas City Symphony is involved in several series of performances throughout the year, including a family series to entertain all ages, a pops series with more alternative music and a classical series. Seasonal performances are during the Christmas season and on Halloween. The concerts are held at various theaters throughout the city.
